Margutti's shoes are produced by Damiano Chiappini,
who descends from an ancient family of shoe-makers and learnt this ancient
craft from his father, the 'master artisan'.
Since 1930 his father used to go from home
to home to make shoes for family members, these shoes were exceptionally
strong and impermeable made-to-measure shoes, thanks to a special processing
that made them suitable for working in the fields.
Today, Damiano combines those ancient traditions with the style, the elegance
and class to manufacture high-quality shoes, entirely hand-made with selected
leathers that have been cured with natural processes and made by giving
the utmost attention even to the smallest details and customers' needs.
The customer who purchases a made-to-measure
pair of shoes is immediately aware of the excellent comfort, the extreme
accuracy of this craftsmanship that only an artisan master can achieve.
Our shoe-making techniques include the Goodyear
method, the Norwegian method, and Lo Stagno method, which are performed
by applying the leather on the shoe last which is then entirely hand-sewn,
depending on the model.
Our customers can have any product
they desire personalized so as to make it unique.
